Who is Robby Schropp?

Robby has been at home in the Egyptian desert for over 50 years. What began as curiosity became home — a place of learning and the source of the most important experiences of his life.

Bedouin families, fishermen, companions — many of the people he meets today have walked beside him his whole life. They showed him what true freedom means.

Robby is founder and Managing Director of iQ onTour Ltd., a tour operator specialising in Egypt and based in Hurghada, and of the desert retreat WENDEPUNKT — an exclusive experience for executives and high performers who want to find themselves again in the silence of the desert.

His Philosophy

Robby doesn't lead groups through the desert to teach them something. He creates the space in which people can meet themselves — in the silence, in the emptiness, in the beauty of nothing.

What sets him apart from coaches and trainers: no methods, no slides, no answers. Just the desert, time, and someone who holds the space and looks after you.

WENDEPUNKT is Robby's offering for people who, despite their success, have sensed that something is still missing. 5–7 days in the Egyptian desert, far from everyday life, roles and expectations. A maximum of 6 people per group — or a fully private, exclusive experience for one.
